  1. Clear Expectations:  Make sure you have a meeting of the minds with your team.  Everyone is on the same page and fully aware of what is expected.  Align those expectations up with your specific business objectives
  1. Specific Consequences:  I recommend a good Progressive Discipline Process
  1. Be a Leader who will Follow Through if Your Employees Don’t:  Enact the prescribed consequences if your team members are failing to follow through.
  1. Celebrate Success:  At a minimum, give a quick thank you, thumbs up or high five for a job well done when they do follow through.  Use both negative and positive reinforcement.
